Frank Longbottom was his father, and Alice Longbottom was his mother. They did not tell the secret of James and Lily Potter, about where they were living, and faced a brutal death with the Cruciatus Curse performed by Barty Crouch Jr.
His parents were killed by Bellatrix Lestrange in the movie. Matthew, who performed Neville’s role, was shown in the first four parts as an underconfident kid with a passion for Herbology. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he helped Harry swim under the water with Gillyweed.

Nagini; the snake, was the last Horcrux. He killed that with the Sword of Gryffindor and saved Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. This led Harry to beat ‘The Dark Lord’ in a duel and kill him once and for all.
